Speedtiger Case Study

The Story:

When Speed Tiger approached us saying they were already a top seller in their industry even though their listing wasn’t optimized and Amazon branding wasn’t great, we took that as a good sign. That only means we can get them even more sales after we optimize their listing and upgrade their Amazon branding. The only problem is that they have over 100 SKUs across all their variations; that’s a lot of work! After a few months of hard work, our team successfully finished the work and was able to change everything successfully. Speedtiger told us their sales now are higher than ever and we’d like to think our work had something to do with that.

Step 1: Product Research

  1. We found that most competing brands didn’t have strong branding, which is why Speed Tiger was able to be a top seller in this space due to their supreme quality. We also know other brands can potentially sneak in with stronger branding, so we had to upgrade Speed Tiger’s branding ASAP.
  2. In a world of B2B, we knew we wanted to establish something this industry hasn’t seen before in terms of visuals, Speed Tiger was onboard to allow us to create something special for their brand.
Amazon Branding
  1. Lineup StrategyThe biggest stylistic change started with our lineup strategy; we used a black background and colors to distinguish their texts and technical info. One of the more prominent pain points was their compatibility chart; we wanted to make it easier for users to see.
  2. A+ Content – We wanted to follow our lineup strategy’s new style and just add a few technical elements. Also, there were 5 different lines of products; we wanted to use different bright colors to distinguish them so everyone would know the products belonged to the 5 different lines.
  3. Amazon Brand Store – We wanted to remove the old B2B feel to the old brand store they had and add a fresh twist to it so that people can picture Speedtiger as a consumer brand. We removed their factory info and all other B2B info they had before to recreate Speed Tiger as an authentic B2C brand.
  4. Product Packaging We also consulted Speed Tiger on designing a new product packaging to add to Amazon’s main product image.

Step 2: Listing Optimization

Frontend

We updated all product titles using keywords with higher search volume and low competition. A significant change was moving the product specifications from the end of the title to the front so customers could see them instead of being cut off.

Backend

Since end mill bits rely highly on the correct specifications, we had to do a lot of optimization in the backend, adding all the relevant info. From sizing to end cut type, finish type, and many more.
Aside from the specifications, we tweaked the search term keywords to remove punctuation and repetitive keywords.

Summary

  1. Rebranding Speedtiger’s Lineup Strategy, A+ Content, and brand store.
  2. Optimized Speedtiger’s listing info: both front-end and back-end.
  3. Speedtiger’s Amazon account has gotten increased sales after the facelift.
